PRESENTATION OUTLINE

KAMPANI CAMPODONICO

PERIOD 7

NUCLEUS- PRINCIPAL

Controls all the cell functions just as the principal is the main authority and controls what happens in the school.

CELL WALL- GATE

The membrane surrounding the cell and acts as a pressure vessel, preventing over-expansion when water enters the cell. The gate surrounds the school and keeps the students in and others out.

CELL MEMBRANE- SECURITY GUARD

Composed of a phospholipid bilayer and regulates what enters and leaves the cell. The surety guard prevents non-students from entering the school.

VESICLES- TRASHCAN

Transport materials within the cell and provides temporary storage of food, enzymes and waste products. Trashcans store waste materials.

LYSOSOMES- JANITORS

Digests excess or worn-out cell parts, food particles, and invading viruses or bacteria just as a janitor cleans the school and gets rid of waste products.

GOLGI APPARATUS- LUNCH DISTRIBUTORS

Packages proteins for transport out of the cell. The lunch distributors packages and distributes the lunch.

RIBOSOMES- TEACHERS

Cites of protein synthesis. They make proteins and repair damage and direct chemical processes. Teachers teach and develop the students by correcting their mistakes.

CHLOROPLASTS- ADMISSIONS OFFICE

Converts light energy of the Sun into sugars that can be used by the cell. The admissions office accepts students that are valuable and can be used by the school.

MITOCHONDRIA- SCHOOL LUNCH

Produces a usable form of energy. School lunch is produced from ingredients and is made into edible food.

CHROMATIN- OFFICE WORKER

Transports materials from the nucleus. It is a collection of DNA in the nucleus of the eukaryotic cells. Office workers run errands for the principal.

NUCLEOLUS- THE OFFICE

Site where ribosomes are made. The office hires the teachers, which are the ribosomes.

CENTRAL VACUOLE- LOCKERS

Stores materials within the cell. The lockers store materials.

ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM- SCHOOL BUS

Folds protein molecules in sacs and transports synthesized proteins in vesicles to the Golgi apparatus. The school bus transports the students, which are the proteins.

CYTOPLASM- SCHOOL HALLWAYS

Cytoplasm holds the internal components of cells in place and protects them from damage. Cytoplasm stores molecules used for cellular processes, as well as hosts many of these processes within the cell itself. The hallways provide shelter for the students.

CYTOSKELETON- SCHOOL BUILDINGS

Provides support for the cell. The school buildings are the support system and structure of the school.
