THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT

  • The civil rights act integrated many business and public places . In other words African Americans were discriminated by their stereotypes .

THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT FINAL OUTCOME

  • After the civil rights act many African Americans were allowed to attend colleges that white people attend as well .
  • African Americans were treated fairly .
  • Also African Americans , Latinos , and Asians gathered together for campaigns .

ROSA PARKs

  • On December 1 , 1955 Rosa parks was going on the city bus to go home from work , the bus was full so she sat behind the whites seats , she was arrested cause of that .

MARCUS GARVEY

  • He was born in Jamaica in 1887 in St. Anne's bay . He created a "Back to Africa " law .

HOW IT STARTED

  • The civil rights act took place in Washington D.C and the presidents were John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson.

WHAT CAUSED THE CIVIL RIGHTS

  • 20 percent of the population of African American in the south having problems with job houses .
  • The African Americans were boycott off the buses .
