COMMON COLD

  • The common cold is large number of viruses
  • Located towards the upper region of your respiratory system.

SYMPTOMS

  • Runny or stuffy nose, itchy or sore throat, cough, congestion
  • Slight body aches or a mild headache, sneezing,
  • Watery eyes, low-grade fever, and mild fatigue.

HOW IS IT CONTRACTED?

  • Contracted by air borne viruses
  • Made direct contact with the infectious object

IS IT CONTAGIOUS?

  • Yes it is contagious but not as much as other diseases.

HOW MANY CASES WERE THERE IN THE US IN 2013

  • There are over one billion colds each year in the United States.

DO CHILDREN GET IT?

  • Yes children get the common cold
  • every single kid in the US get the common cold eight or more times each year

HOW IS IT TREATED?

  • It is usually treated with painkillers or decongestants.

IS THERE A CURE?

  • No, there is no cure yet for the common cold.
