  • Current deafness is more acceptable then it was in the past.
  • For example in Cairo there is a KFC restaurant where the the deaf can work.
  • They are treated very well they have schools there for deaf people.

HOW ARE DEAF PEOPLE EDUCATED?

  • The Deaf Unit is a small educational programme for deaf children in the old district of Cairo.
  • The program was founded in the late 70's.
  • The program was founded by the Egyptian Anglican Church.
  • It has a sign bilingual primary school for deaf children.

WHATS THE MOST COMMON FORM OF COMMUNICATION?

  • Arabic Sign Language is a sign language used by members of the deaf community in egypt
