THE DESERT BIOME

Location

  • Our Biomes name is the Desert.
  • It is found in north Asia and South Africa.
  • This land is hot and dry.

Climate

  • The desert gets 50 cm. to 10 inches.
  • The desert gets to 110 degrees F.
  • The sand can get to 170 degrees F.

PLANTS

  • There are rabbit bushes, barrel cacti, and Joshua trees.
  • They can survive with very little water.
  • They give water to other animals.

Animals

  • there are diamondback rattle snakes, iguanas, and kangaroo rats.
  • They can not drink for a long time.
  • some animals eat at night.

Food Chain

  • The cacti give energy to the lizard.
  • The lizard gives energy to the Diamondback Rattle Snake.
  • The Diamondback gives energy to the Kit Fox.

Threats

  • There can be Quads driving on the sand, People leaving trash behind, and there is the global worming.
  • People can start a fire.
