THE DIGESTION OF A TACO

This is a little short story following The Digestion System of Abby after eating a taco. First go to the place of choice; Abby's favorite place to get a taco is Taco Bell. ( so she went and bought a taco and ate it)

THE MOUTH

• Now that Abby ate the food it goes through a digestive system
• The mouth breaks the food to small pieces (a physical change)
• After that, the enzymes break the food down (a chemical change)
• Now you swallow

THE ESOPHAGUS

• This is a Hollow Muscular Tube
• Here your taco is contracted and goes to your stomach

THE STOMACH

• This is a hollow muscular pouch
• Here involuntary muscles push your food through the stomach
• As your food in your goes to your stomach acids & other chemicals break down your food even more
• Now your food goes to the small intestine

THE SMALL INTESTINE

• Don't be fooled it is actually only about 6 meters
• The intestine is a tube lined with villi (wormlike thing)
• Here there is also involuntary muscles
• This absorbs nutrients into blood
• also this is chemically digests food *most digestion is here*

LIVER

• a large, heavy triangular shaped organs
• Aids in digestion by producing chemicals that break down food
• **this is not a part of the digestive system**

LARGE INTESTINE

• The large intestine is actually very small but thick in width
• Tube that contracts and pushes waste toward the anus
• In here you absorb the waste and puts the water back in the blood

ANUS

• Muscular opening
• Here you allow waste to exit your body
• If your waste is too watery you have something wrong with your Large intestine
• If you wait to long you get constipated the cant go to the bathroom
• Later Abby will go to the bathroom and the process is finished
