Plot
In the future, Michael and his two friends Bryson and Sarah are employed by VNS, VirtNet Security, to track down a cyber-terrorist known as Kaine who has been trapping people inside the VirtNet, even though the gamers who are trapped commit suicide in real life by ripping out their Cores, the objects that are the layer between their virtual and their real life bodies.

SETTING

Conflict
The conflict is the virtual gamer Kaine trapping people in The Sleep. a girl was tormented by Kaine. She ripped out her Core and jumped off a bridge. Once you rip out your Core, if you die in the game you die in real life. Throughout the book, Michael tries to find Kaine before he hurts anyone else by going through crazy obstacles with his friends Sarah and Bryson.

Climax
Michael died in the game and went back to the wake. Michael was surprised he was alive and not dead and when he got out of the Coffin nothing looked familiar. When he looked into the mirror he didn't look like himself and he realized it wasn't him.

Resolution
Bryson and Sarah fall victim to the Path leaving Michael to take on the challenges the KillSims and eventually Kaine himself. KillSims are the Death Eaters.

Point of view
First person because he is the main character and is in all the parts of the book.

Theme
The theme of the eye of minds is to never give up , Michael and his friend s were in some situations were there was no winning.
