PLOT pt. 2
Gus instantly falls for Hazel, but because of Hazels unpredictable future, she is reluctant to love him, and refuses to let him love her. In a twist of events, Gus takes her to Amsterdam to visit her favorite author and she shares her love, when they realize they have less time to be together than they thought.

REASONS IT'S A STELLAR BOOK

REASON 1
The author uses great descriptive, and intellectual language.

REASON 2
The story line is very original. I have never read a story about a cancer patient that is dying and falls in love. Let alone a 16 year old with cancer.

REASON 3
The author intertwines many unspoken truths through out the book.

FAVORITE PASSAGE
"My dad understood my cancer the way I did: in the vague and incomplete way people understand electrical circuits and ocean tides."

I love this passage, it has little to no significance to the main conflict, however, it is a perfect unspoken truth that no one really talks about, but is simply true.

FOOD ITEM
Martinelli's sparkling cider and PB&J's.
The Martinelli's represents the amazing champagne Gus and Hazel shared in Amsterdam. And the PB&J's represent the simple, yet addictive nature of the book. Once you start, you can't stop.

THANK YOU!
