CONSTUCTION
- It was completed in December 2003
- It cost £138 million to build
- It is 180 m tall
- It is made from curved glass
- It was designed by Norman Foster and Partners and constructed by Skanska

CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
- Condensation is an ongoing problem with the Gherkin
- They have set up a system for the humidity of the building to reduce the condensensation
- It also faced some financial issues
- The financial problems delayed the construction
