The Gift of the Magi

No Description

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE GIFT OF THE MAGI

Inferences & Consiciousness

"In  the  vestibule  below  was  a  letterbox  into  which  no  letter  would  go,  and  an  electric
button from which no mortal finger could coax a ring." (O'Henry 2).

Based upon this quote, I infer that Della and Jim have no friends besides each other. This builds their relationship and makes them closer.

"Eight dollars  a  week  or  a  million  a  year—what  is  the  difference?  A  mathematician  or  a  wit  would give  you  the  wrong  answer" (O'Henry 3).

This quote infers to the consciousness of "the Gift of the Magi", it points out the pricelessness of love, O'Henry celebrates their love.
