PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The Glyphis Shark is one of the most elusive sharks in the world. There is an estimated 2,500 left in the entire world. There is also about 5 species of the Glyphis left. The species I’m doing is the speartooth Shark
The Glyphis was first found in 1986 in Australia. Only 36 have been recorded since. Its length, weight, and range of age is unknown. It is endangered and on the red list which means extremely endangered
THE MAIN THREATS FOR THE GLYPHIS ARE
- Habitat degradation
- Human Development
- Pollution
- Fishing
THE GLYPHIS SHARK IS LOCATED IN THESE PLACES
- Northwestern Asia
- New Guinea
- India
- Parts of Australia
- Southeastern Asia
KING SOUND IS THE GLYPHIS’S PRIMARY HABITAT
The Glyphis status is very unknown. It’s so endangered that if you do catch it your only allowed to handle it for 1 whole minute. It’s also considered the rarest Shark in the world
Jeff Whitty and David Morgan are the authors for one of two articles I choose. David Morgan and Jeff Whitty focused more on what time, where it is, habit, and how endangered it is. They didn’t really talk about the species, or the status.
On the other hand, Brian Howard focused on the Glyphis or spear tooth Shark more than the time place, and where it is located. He talked about its habit, status, and information on why it is endangered
