COMPONENTS

  • It mixed the following plans.
  • 1) Plan of Virginia: which consisted in a bicameral legislature with representation based on state population
  • 2)New Jersey Plan: which propuse that the states should be represented equally.

One of the main influencers was: Roger Sherman from Connecticut.

HOW AFFECT THE DIFFERENT PLAN TO THE STATES

  • The Virginia plan favored states with a more people;for example, California or Florida.
  • In the other hand states like Wyoming with small population would prefer the New Jersey plan.

OTHER FACTS

  • It also made a Convention about a debate of how much say to give the voting public.
  • So in this way The House of Representatives, had frequent direct elections, with the objective to reflect what people want.
