During The Great Depression in Texas Food and Money were the needs that no one had. Those two items,were very scarce.

The Stock Market Crash of 1929

  • The Stock Market Crash of 1929 was a devastating event
  • People became homeless

The Dust Bowl

  • Crippled Most Things in Texas
  • Major drought Devastated Plains
  • Most of Southern Texas was Destroyed

World War II
During WWII more than 7% of the American army was of Texans. More than 750,000 Texans Joined, and more than 22,000 died or were wounded.

The End of World War II in Texas
The End of WWII was a beginning of a new society and a New Era.

Texas Population grew 33% percent.

Throughout the Great Depression and World War II, Texas managed to continue their great agriculture, you can thank those Texans for everything that exists today!!
