What was the Great Depression? The Great Depression was an economic crisis in North America, Europe, and other areas around the world. It started in 1929 and lasted until about 1939.

Who was the president while the Great Depression was going on? Herbert Hoover was the president of the United States from 1929 to 1933. Franklin D. Roosevelt was the president of the United States from 1933 to 1945.

What was the new deal? The new deal is a set of federal programs launched by Franklin D. Roosevelt. The main purpose of the new deal was to recover the economy, create jobs, invest in public works, and do a civic uplift.

What caused the Great Depression? There are multiple different theory's of how the Great Depression was caused. The most used theory of how the Great Depression started was the stock market crash.

What was peoples health and nutrition like during this time? During the Great Depression people had little money to buy food. They had to find a diet that cost little money and was enough to sustain life. There health and nutrition was bad during this time.

What was the employment rate during this time? The employment rate during the Great Depression was at about 5.00%.
