  • Frosts hurt oranges that were growing in northern FL.🍊
  • As a result many people moved their crops south.🌽

  • He developed an orange the ripened early before frost could strike.

When frosts came to Northern Florida, farmers moved their crops down South. In the South, this wouldn't happen as often. The Lue Gim Gong Orange also prevented the oranges from freezing, since they ripened early.
