The story's world

  • The time of this story is the 1920's post war booming economics alcohol, sex and tested morals.
  • They live in a world of partying and adultery along with betrayal.

  • Nick Caraway is a mellow and solemn man he likes to please others and questions the motives of people.

  • Nick doesn't like to disappoint people thus he strives to please the people around him completing many peoples requests.

  • Nick has to battle with the question as to why Tom Buchanan doesn't just leave Daisy because hes just sneaking off to New York to get with Myrtle.
  • He also has the question as to why Jay Gatsby doesn't get a hold of Daisy himself

3 Predictions

  • I believe that Tom Buchanan is going to find out that Nick is sorta playing on both sides.
  • Another prediction that i thought about was Myrtle leaving her husband and Tom leaving his wife and them getting together
  • Lastly i predict Nick and Jordan getting married and having children.

  • The best thing about this book is that it kinda shows the reality of not always getting your one true beloved. (from what Ive read so far)
