THE GREAT WHITE SHARK

LOCATION

  • The great white sharks are often found in the ,
  • East and west us coast, the golf coast, South America,
  • Austrialia , New Zealand, Hawaii, then Mediterranean Sea,
  • West Africa, Japan and east of china.

WHY I PICKED THIS SHARK

I FIND THEM INTERESTING.

UNIQUE FEATURE

  • Their teeth are very unique than any other shark.
  • They are serrated and act like hundreds of tiny knives when biting prey.

SPECIAL ADAPTATION

  • Their behavior with/around other animals.
  • It's their behavior around other animals especially humans,
  • Dolphins, sea lions, and seals is very bad because they,
  • Usually want to eat them , but to other whales of its kind
  • Is nice except for if they're fighting over something.

WHY IT'S ADAPTATION FEATURES SERVE THIS FISH

  • In its environment for attacking its prey

WHY YOU SHOULD CARE ABOUT THE GREAT WHITE SHARKS

  • People should care about this shark because its good for them to feed off
  • Dead fish that's floating around in the seas

ARE THESE KINDS OF SHARKS ENDANGERED?

  • Yes, by the decreasing numbers of great whites of being
  • Hunted for their fins , teeth and often as a trophy for sport fishing
  • They are often caught by commercial fisheries and can also
  • Become entangled in meshes that protect beaches

FACTS

  • The G.W.S is the worlds largest known predatory fish
  • It's has 3,000 teeth, yet does not chew its food
  • Sharks rip their prey into mouth sized pieces which are swallowed whole
  • The sharks heavy torpedo-shaped body allows it to cruise Efficently for
  • Long periods of time, and then suddenly switch to high speed leaping out of water
