Society was ruled by weath. The wealthiest clan had the most power.

The oldest and highest ranked person was named Chief of family.

Inherited through mom's side. Always marries outside of clan.

Population has rebound to 4000 people. They centralized into two villages, Skidegate and Old Masset.
