COST ANALYZES

MICROORGANISMS: BACTERIA AND VIRUSES

  • Bacteria causes a lot of digestive problems, such as salmonella.
  • Viruses consist of genetic materials.
  • Nuclei acids alows bacteria to move from one place to another.
  • The measles virus, is a virus found in Vietnam.

THE ROLE OF DNA IN GENETIC DISORDERS

  • A genetic disorder is a change in the DNA's sequence.
  • Some genetic disorders can be inherited.
  • Other disorders happen over lifetime a our cells age.
  • Certain cemicals we get exposed to can also cause a disorder.
  • In Vietnam the cause of losing a hand is not a disorder.

DNA

  • DNA is stored as a code.
  • AGCT are the chemical bases
  • They pair, A with T and G With C, these are called base pairs.
  • 99% of the DNA bases are the same in every human
  • Over 3 million bases are in the DNA

TRANSGENIC ORGANISMS

  • Cloning , DNA recombination
  • Depending on types of transgenic organism some are benifital for humans
  • Examples of transgenic
  • Glofish ,golden rice, henrietta lacks

COMPARING ALTERNATIVE ASSISTIVE DEVICES

  • A assistive device is any device that is designed to assist a person.
  • The two assistive devices I will be comparing are the powered chair and hearing aid.
  • The powered chair is has many similarities to those found in a manual chair.
  • The hearing aid is used to improve hearing and make noises louder then normal.
  • This also helps people participate more fully in daily activities.
