• The main character is Katniss Everdeen
• Katniss changes throughout the book because she has to be courageous to volunteer for the games. Another reason she changes is her feelings towards Peeta the male tribute.

Katniss is protective of her family because she lost her father in a mine so now she has to provide for her family. She is brave and bold because she volunteered for her sister as tribute for the Hunger Games. She is stubborn because she does not want to cooperate with her mother. She is friendly by being nice to people in the black market.

Some changes that Katniss has made is her feelings towards Peeta because in the begging she hated him and didn't know him but now she is more romantic towards him and she knows him very well. Another change that Katniss made is her feelings towards president snow because at first she doesn't care about him but at the end she hates and despises hem because of the games. Also her feelings towards gale because at first she has mixed emotions towards gale but now she has it all figured out and she likes him as a friend.

I would not want to be Katniss's friend because she is stubborn and shy by not telling the truth and keeping her stuff a secret. She wants to destroy the capital and the games. If I was friends with her the capital would target her friends and family and I would not like to be killed.
