• All located in Nigeria

LANGUAGE

• Have their own language called "Igbo"
• Igbo is one of the four official languages of Nigeria
• It is spoken by about 18 million people in Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea.

RELIGION

• The religion is mainly Christian (90%)
• 5% is Muslim and Jewish
• Other 5% is minority religions

MUSIC AND DANCE

• The Igbo use instruments such as the drum and the gong
• Igbo music is generally lively and upbeat
• Some popular Igbo music styles are Igbo highlife, Igbo rap, Odumodu.
• Do ritual dances after someone gets married or aomeone dies

SPORTS

• Main sports was wrestling
• Also did Rugby/soccer
• Cricket on occasion

WOMEN OF THE IGBO

• Often weaved baskets
• Sew clothing and bed sheets
• Cook dinner and raise children
• Made pote out of clay

WARS AND BATTLES

• Have not got pten involved in world wars
• Have battles within Nigerian territory
• One battle was the The Woman's War
• Fought for woman rights to not pay taxes
• Fight was against British government

FOOD

• Included variety of fruits and vegtables
• Often ate lamb ad chicken as primary meats
• Never ate meat on Fridays
• Often had lamb and berrys or vegtables for lunch
• Ate very healthy all the time
