Technological advances have led to unprecedented changes in translation as a means of interlingual communication. Technological
developments of contemporary translation: computer-assisted translation tools and machine translation.

These technologies have increased productivity and quality in
translation, supported international communication, and demonstrated the growing need
for innovative technological solutions to the age-old problem of the language barrier. However, these tools also represent significant challenges and uncertainties for thetranslation profession and the industry.

As a constant in the development of humanity, translation has always played a crucial role in interlingual communication by allowing for the sharing of knowledge and culture between different languages.

The text types and formats of localized content differ considerably from traditional texts in that
the former contains domain-specific neologistic terminology and language conventions, computer code,
and unique file formats and structures that are also often specific to languages and regions.

professions, including teachers and health care professionals, use freely available online MT so that theycan communicate with their clients who do not speak their language—a trend especially pronounced with
large-scale migration and displacement.
