THE QUARTERING ACT

  • This act made colonists to provide food, drink,
  • quarters, fuel and transportation to the british soldiers.
  • This law was established March 24, 1774.

ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE

  • This law was effective on May 20, 1774.
  • This act was made to punish the people/colonists
  • of Boston for the incedent that would become known
  • as the Boston Tea party soon.

MASSACHUSETTS GOVERMENT ACT

  • This law was effective May 20, 1774.
  • This act would make sure that the Boston people
  • did not govern themselves.

QUEBEC ACT

  • This law was established May 20, 1774.
  • This act was made to extend boundaries
  • of Quebec and garanteed religious freedom
  • to catholic canadians.

BOSTON PORT BILL

  • This law was effective June 1, 1774.
  • This act was made to punish the
  • inhabitants(colonists) of Boston.

HOW DID IT AFFECT THE COLONIST ?

  • The colonist could not bring hay from Charleston
  • to feed their starving horses.
  • The colonist could not self govern themselves in Massachusetts.
  • The sons of liberty used the Boston Massacre aginst British parlament.

HOW DID THIS AFFECT THE REVOLUTION

  • The colonist were angry at the King of England because the new taxes
  • and decided to fight back which caused the revolution.
