ENVIROMENT

  • Economy based on agriculture, Government FOR enviroment
  • Large central lowlands with hills and mountains
  • High annual rainfall, Prevailing SW winds from the Atlantic
  • Low air pollution, high standards for watercourses
  • Little population density = good environment

  • Lit: Ulysses, Dracula and Gulliver’s Travels
  • ^ produces massive amount of literature for size
  • BIG on dance, music and storytelling
  • Irish music has influenced country, blue grass, folk, jazz and rock worldwide
