La llorona is sad because she drowned her own kids Because the ranchero paid attention to her kids and didn't look at Maria so Maria grabbed her and put them in the river and let them drown then she saw What she had done
The next day they found her laying by the river then they found out it was Maria so they buried where they found .then children are warned not to go outside alone next to the river or else the Llorona takes them and never returns them
