One day there was a farm boy named Esaw he lived in Assyria. Sadly, one day, the Babylonian Empire took over Assyria. After a while, the Assyrians got tired of the Babylonians bossing them around, and they had a war. Esaw fought in the war. He found a large log that looked like a ram and broke down the doors of the castle with it. People started using logs, like the one Esaw used, to break down doors. They called it the battering ram. Assyria was now an empire, and Esaw was their war hero!
Esaw was known all throughout Assyria as the most heroic person ever. He led the Assyrians in many battles to take over land that stretched from Egypt to the Persian Gulf. Esaw also helped them develop iron weapons that they use in war, and a war strategy called siege. You may be wondering how Esaw has lived throughout the whole time of Assyria. When he was young and lived on a farm in Babylon, he found a magic stone under a log when he was fishing, and touched it. It made him never age.
Esaw was mostly loved throughout the land. But there was a man named Quatinca who hated him. Quatinca thought that he could do everything that Esaw could, so he challenged him to a fight. Esaw said no, because they were from the same empire. Quatinca then revealed that he was actually a Babylonian. Esaw was shocked. When Assyria grew very large, the Babylonian army fought them in a battle for land. In that battle Quatinca challenged Esaw to a duel. Esaw accepted.
Before the duel, Esaw prayed to his god, Ashur, that he would win the battle. The two men fought very hard. At one point, Esaw had Quatinca and killed him. A Babylonian archer was so offended by the death of Quatinca that he shot an arrow at Esaw's heart. Esaw died from the arrow and the Babylonians charged. Since Esaw, their faithful leader was now dead, the Assyrians couldn't beat the Babylonians. So the Babylonians took over the Assyrian Empire and made the Neo-Babylonian empire.
