WHEN WAS JOHN BORN?

He Was born on january 23 1737, in Braintree,Massachusetts.

Early LIFE
When John was 7 years old his dad died and his mom remarried. After that, he lived with his uncle and aunt. John's uncle was a very wealthy man.

Young Adult Years
John went to Boston Latin School. After his graduation in 1750, he was accepted into Harvard, where he graduated in 1754. Then he worked with his uncle to learn the family business.

Older in Life
John spent four years continuing his studies on business.He had a passion for expensive clothes,but he did also focus on his work. John's uncle died so he took over the family business, he also inherited lots of money.When John was 27 he became one of the richest men in Massachusetts.

The Family
John married a beautiful woman named Dorothy Quincy.They had two children that both died young.

John's Job
John was elected into the State House of Representatives in 1766. By 1775, he was elected to the Continental Congress.

The Signing
Since John was the president of the Congress, he was the first to sign The Declaration of Independence. If the U.S. lost the war, he would be the first to die.

Last Years
After winning the war, John became governor of Massachusetts. John died at 56 on October 8, 1793.
