THE LOVE OF CHRIST- refers to the love that He has toward mankind. His love can be briefly stated as His willingness to act in our best interest, especially in meeting our greatest need, even though it cost Him everything and even though we were the least worthy of such love."

I. BY SUBSTITUTION
「He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.」1 Peter 2:24 NLT

a. Meaning - Christ died a substitutionary death on behalf of sinners. which require a penalty of death.

1. God declare believing sinners righteous and accept them into His fellowship without any compromise on His part.
2. All the believer's sins are placed in Christ who completely atoned for them and paid for them through His death.

II. BY REDEMPTION

a. Meaning - Jesus paid a price for man's salvation, redeeming us from sin by His blood.

b. Benefits
1. so Christ purchased believers out of the slave market of sin and set them free.
2. Man now is reconciled to God , meaning that man , who was estranged and alienated from God , is now at peace with Him.
III. BY PROPITIATION
「For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,」Romans 3:25 NLT

a. Meaning - the righteous demand of a holy God were fully satisfied
- Jesus was now the lamb of God where His blood was shed through faith. In the OT an animal was sacrifice for sin so that they will become holy.
b. Benefits - 1. God was now satisfied and holiness is now with us .
2. His divine wrath was stopped.

b. Benefits - Christ death resulted in forgivness for sinners. It provided the legal means whereby God could forgive sin.
