  • What is muscular dystrophy?
  • Muscular dystrophy is a group of diseases that cause weakness and loss of muscle mass.
  • Is there a cure?
  • There is no cure for any of the forms of muscular dystrophy.
  • The symptoms: the main sign of muscular dystrophy is progressive muscle weakness.

MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY

  • Muscular dystrophy is passed on from generation to generation
  • It typically affects boys although it can affect girls
  • You can tell you have muscular dystrophy by the following:
  • Frequent falls,difficulty getting up, trouble running and jumping,
  • Waddling gait and walking on toes.

WHAT TO EAT

  • Eat almonds.1 cup has 24g of protein.
  • Eat cottage cheese.15g of protein in 1/2 a cup.
  • Drink chocolate milk.16g of protein in 500ml.

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT EAT

  • Fastfood has fat and less nutrients
  • Low calorie vegetables can fill you up,but doesnt have enough callories
  • Concentrate juices have sugar and added stuff
  • Sugary foods have callories but less nutritional value.

Types of muscles
You have three types of muscles. Smooth,cardiac and skeletal. Cardiac muscles are the heart muscles. Skeletal muscles are muscles attached to bones and some examples of smooth are:
Veins, trachea, iris, small arteries, walls if the stomach and your intestines.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU HURT A MUSCLE

  • Applying ice packs
  • Heat can be applied when swelling has lessned

The function is; The 600 muscles in your body support movement and control walking, talking, eating, sitting, standing and other daily functions that people perform.

Examples of voluntary muscles are: skeletal muscles are voluntary because you can control them.
They are controlled by the brain
Cardiac and smooth muscles are involuntary because you can not control them, they control themselves. …
