  • Johnston came up with the plan because he lived with Navajo Indians.

  • The army gave messages to the code talkers.
  • The code talkers translated them. I

HOW THEY WON

  • The code talkers transmitted messages and that helped them win.
  • The army went from island to island, which means they were island hopping.
