- They were fast
- Guns and Horses to defend themselves

GETTING CAPTURED
- The Navajo tribe members got captured many times because they were risk takers
- The were not afraid of the Europeans
- They never stopped fighting so they never stopped getting captured
- They were mentally and physically tough because they were forced into labor
- The could not fight back or they would die immediately
