• The Nile River goes around Egypt, Tanzania Kenya, Eritrea, Congo, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia and south of the equator
•Length: 4,132 miles (6,695 km)
•Half of Egyptians live along the Nile

The ancient Egypt could never haves lived without the Nile River
The Nile was named after Greek Neilos
The Nile was formed by three rivers
The two main river that flow into the Nile are the white Nile the blue Nile
The white Nile originates at lake Victoria

The blue Nile originates at lake tana in Ethiopia
Ancient Egypt could not have existed without the Nile River because it provided , food and water transportation a good source for growing food
The ancient Egyptians could grow crops only in the mud left over when the Nile flooded
The ancient Egyptians made paper and boats out of the reeds called papyrus that grow on the side of the Nile
The Nile Also provided food for the Egyptians they used spears and nets to catch fish

DANGERS OF THE NILE
•Nile crocodile are blamed for the deaths of more than 200 people every year • crocodile can grow to around 20 feet long and over 16 hundred pounds
Their is one crocodile named Gustave that is the cause of hundreds of people deaths Gustave is still living in the Nile today
Hunters hunted all of the crocodile in 1960 they all became extend the crocodile can back
Another animal that is native to the Nile that was once worshiped by the ancient Egyptians, hippopotamus
the hippopotamus is very dangerous they have tuned over fishing boat and destroyed crops

THE NILE TODAY
•Thanks to the Nile River Egypt is the 2nd most populated country in Africa.
•Farmers are able to produce a large variety of crops because of the Nile River
The Nile River is being used to help hydroelectric power. There are plans to develop electricity production in the surrounding areas
The Aswan high Dam was built to help reduce flooding of the Nile River

The hippopotamus is responsible for killing more people than lions
The hippopotamus Can swim up 30km (18 miles) per hour
The third most threading animal is the mosquitoes can give you malaria
