The North

  • Clay wanted the North-East to be mainly manufacturers
  • Canals are an advantage, type of transportation for goods
  • Small moving rivers are an advantage
  • Population increases because of the manufacturing
  • The Erie Canal made it possible to recieve goods from New York

MOST BENEFITTED

  • *THE NORTH BENEFITTED THE MOST FROM THE AMERICAN SYSTEM*

AMERICAN SYSTEM MAIN POINTS

  • Tarrifs to protect industry
  • Bank of the United States
  • improvement of infrastructure and transportation

THE SOUTH

  • Tarrifs hurt the South
  • South was mainly for farming certain plants
  • Transported their plants to other countries
  • Can sell eaiser to other countries than in the United States
  • Benefitted from the American System,but not nearly as much as other regions

THE WEST

  • The West was responsible for agriculture
  • People rely on the West for food
  • Erie Canal connected the West directly to the North
  • This benefitted them because they coukd recieve and export goods with the North
  • Does not benefit as much as the North, but still benefits greatly
