THE CICONES

  • Odysseus and his men go to get supplies, and while
  • celebrating the Cicones reinforcements come and kill
  • some of Odysseus's men.

THE LOTUS EATERS

  • Odysseus's men ate the lotus flowers that made them forget about
  • Home, and want to stay so Odysseus drags them back to the ship.

THE CYCLOPS

  • The Cyclops ate four of Odysseus's men, so
  • Odysseus and four of his best men hardened an olive
  • tree branch into a stake and blinded The Cyclops.
  • While escaping Odysseus slipped and gave
  • Cyclops his real name and Cyclops prayed he had dark days at home.

LAESTROGONIANS

  • The Laestrygonians sink all of Odysseus's ships except
  • for his own.

ISLAND OF CIRCE

  • Odysseus eats the mholy so that he doesn't turn into a pig.

LAND OF THE DEAD

  • Odysseus goes to see the blind prophet in the land of the dead
  • and sees his mother and realizes that his mother has died.

  • Odysseus receives a warning from Circe about the three
  • obstacles he is about to face.

SIRENS

  • Odysseus puts bees wax in his crews ears
  • ,and they tie him up so that he won't try
  • to get away when he hears the sirens music.

Scylla and Charybdis

  • Scylla took 6 of Odysseus's men, so
  • odysseus tells his men to steer
  • away from Charybdis to avoid
  • being swallowed.

THE SUN GOD

  • While sleeping Odysseus's men eat the
  • sun gods cattle and Zeus punishes them with death.

CYLIPSO

  • Cylipso keeps Odysseus for her self in her cave
  • for 7 years until the gods decide it's time for
  • Odysseus to make the journey home, and Athena
  • makes her let him leave.

THE LAND OF THE PHIEATIONS

  • Odysseus washes up and is taken to Alcinious's court
  • to give an account on his recent journeys.

ITHICA

  • When Odysseus has finally returned to Ithaca
  • he finds that suitors have taken over his house, hoping
  • to take his place as king, with the help of Telemachus
  • Odysseus is able to kill all the suitors.
