The boys in the Osage Tribe changed their names when they reached manhood! To learn more interesting facts, keep on reading these slides!

Before the Iroquois Tribe forced The Osage Tribe to move, The Osage lived in valleys in Ohio and Mississippi. Now they live in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma.

The Osage live in teepees in the summer and longhouses in the winter. But when you're in the teepee, be careful! The woman is completely in charge of the teepee!

The Osage wore assortments of clothes. The wore breech cloths, buffalo robes and knee length buckskin dresses!

The Osage pretty much lives off the buffalo, along with agriculture. They had many uses for the buffalo including using it as food, and they never let it go to wast.

The Osage people believed in the Great Spirit
who let them live in the Plains. They also believed in dream catchers, a traditional myth.

Did you know the Osage were 6-7 feet tall? Did you know that the Osage people also encountered Lewis and Clark? Also, girls were taught bu their mothers and boys were taught by their fathers.
