CHAPTERS 5-8

I is for Innocent. When the poem is talking about being gold it's saying be innocent. Look at the good things in the world instead of the bad. Don't get so wrapped up in the bad things that you don't see the good innocent things in the world.

J is for Johnny. Johnny was in a very tuff situation. He's might never be able to walk again. Pony said that the gang could never go on without him. This shows that Johnny is a very important person to the gang and everyone likes him.

K is for kids. Pony is just a kid and he's smoking. The guy that rode with him to the hospital was very surprised that he was smoking. All the people that drink are under age and shouldn't be drinking.

L is for life. Johnny had the chance to save little kids life's. When Johnny is in the burning church he's having the time of his life. This shows that Johnny cares about people and wants to he a hero and be a good person.

M is for money. The difference between the Socs and Greasers is mostly the money. The Socs are very rich kids and Greasers are poor kids. There's a big social and economic difference between them.

N is for nice. When Pony and Randy talks Randy said that he wasn't going to be in the rumble that night. Randy said that he was sick of all of the fighting. Pony realizes that Randy is a real person not just a Soc.

O is for Okay. Dally had a very badly burned arm but was going to be okay. The only person that they were worried about was Johnny, he had a broken back. This shows that Dally, Ponyboy and everyone else really cared about him unlike his parents.

P is for Ponyboy. Ponyboy is the youngest in the gang. He finally realizes that Darry loves him and forgives him for slapping him. Ponyboy is a very nice, loving, caring person.

Q is for Questioning. When Ponyboy and Johnny got back into town they were being questioned about the kids and the church. They also were being questioned about where they went and why they left. Ponyboy had to be careful what he said and who came to him because he ran away and he is a minor so he could go to jail for it.
