A IS FOR ACADEMICS
- PONYBOY IS A VERY SMART KID AND HE GETS GOOD GRADES IN SCHOOL
- He may lack common sence, but he might be the smartest member of the gang
- Derry trys to make ponyboy get good grades by giving him a hard time.

B IS FOR BROTHERS
- In the gang, sodapop,ponyboy,and derry are like brothers.
- Sodapop protects ponyboy from derrys somewhat harsh words.
- Even though derry is alittle harsh to ponyboy,he cares about him on the inside.
C IS FOR COURAGE
- When Johnny noticed that the girls didnt like dallys talking he told him to stop..
- Johnny is usually to scared to talk back to people but he defended the girls from dallys dirty talking.
- johnny knew dally could have beaten him up for talking back but he grew enough courge to say something.
D IS FOR DARRY
- Darry is the oldest brother of sodapop and ponyboy.
- He is both tough and tuff.
- He likes to get into gang fights to nlow off steam.
- He dropped out of school to get a job to support his family after parents died.
E IS FOR EXCITEMENT
- Darry gets excitement bygetting into gang fights
- Ponyboy can get excitement when he goes to watch a movie.
- Dally probably gets excitement while horse riding.
F IS FOR FRIENDS
- Some people in the greaser gang are friends.
- Sodapop and steve are best friends.
- Ponyboy and Johnny are friends and they accually understand eachother.
G IS FOR GANGS
- In the book there are two gangs, the greasers and socs.
- The greasers are more emotional and they are really cool.
- The socs dont ast like themselfs and act like they are someone else.
- The socs and greasers may not be as different as the people in the book think.
H IS FOR HELP
- Whenever a greaser is in trouble the others come to help.
- When ponyboy got jumped the gang came and helped him and chased them
- Sodapop kind of helps ponyboy in a way because soda tells pony that darry dont mean what he says.
