PRESENTATION OUTLINE
R is for rep
Ponyboy feels like an outsider because he doesn't have his long hair. The long hair is the greasers trademark and it gives them their rep.
S is for soc
The soc for socialists are the rich kids. They all get very good grades and are very good at sports.
T is for two-bit
Two-Bit is the one person who always has to have the lasts word, always has his two cents in everything hence his name.
U is for useless
The greasers are feeling useless thanks to the socs and their piers. The greasers feel so useless that they drop to beating people up and sometimes killing people.
V is for visions
Ponyboy keeps on having visions in his dreams. These dreams are about his parents and how much he loves them and wants them back.
W is for water
Ponyboy gets thrown into the fountain and gets all wet, this is the scene where bob dies.
X is forXenophobia
Xenophobia is the fear of different people or foreigners. The socs are different types of people and the greasers are somewhat intimidated by the socs.
Y is for young
The characters in the book are all very young. The term stay gold means stay innocent and stay young.
Z is for Zero
Two-Bit and Ponyboy have zero knowledge whatsoever. They have the two lowest grades on the entire greaser gang.
