PRESENTATION OUTLINE
R is for Reckless
Dally to me is Reckless. Doesn't really care about anything and starts things up. He jumps people and robs places. That's why Dally is reckless.
S is Switchblade
One weapon that is used often in this book is a switchblade. A lot of the Greasers and Socs carry this around for protection. Like when Johnny stabbed Bob, he did it to save Ponyboy.
T is for Tulsa
In the Outsiders, the setting is Tulsa. Tulsa is in Oklahoma. The greasers live on the poor side of Tulsa and the Socs live on the rich side. They're divided at this city.
U is for United
In this book I find the Greasers united with each other. They always stick with each other. They also stick up for each other and protect each other. That's why I find them united.
V is for Violent
The Outsiders is a violent story. The Greasers and Socs always fight each other and sometimes kill each other. Like when Ponyboy got jumped and Johnny got jumped also.
W is for Wise
The one person I find wise in the Outsiders is Darry. Darry never gets into trouble. He always makes sure Ponyboy is home on time and does his homework. If it wasn't for Darry, I don't think Ponyboy would be this good at school as he is now.
X is for Xen
Xen means something that's foreign or different. What people find foreign is that Ponyboy is smart and he's a Greaser. People think that Greasers aren't smart. What Ponyboy finds weird is that Cherry helps him out and she's a Soc. Ponyboy thinks that Soc's don't help Greasers.
Y is for Young
All the main characters in the outsiders are young. Johnny's young, Ponyboy is young and Sodapop is young. Even Darry is young and he's taking care of two younger brothers.
Z is for Zippy
Zippy is being lively. That's what I think of Two-Bit. He's always nice and do anything. Like going to the movies with Ponyboy.
