R is for rumbles
Rumbles is what happens to the erasers and socs run into each other and fight. It mainy happened because Johnny killed bob earlier in the book
S is for scared
When Johnny killed bob both Johnny and ponyboy were scared they were going to get caught. They were scared the cops were going to find them. So they ran away to a old church to hide.
T is for tough
Greasers are known for being tough. They showed how tough they really were when they beat the socs in the rumble. Even the way the greasers dress make them look tough.
U is for understanding
Soda pop understand everybody in the story. When Darry yells at ponyboy soda pop is there for him. Soda pop is always there for everyone and listens to both sides of the story.
V is for violent
Socs are violent because they always jump the greasers. The socs will go on the greasers land and even jump them. That shows how violent the socs really are.
W is for winning
The greasers love winning. So they were happy when they beat the socs in the rumble. The greasers not only like to win they expect to win.
X is for xiv
Ponyboy is fourteen years old. He is the youngest greaser out of the group. And also he is the youngest brother.
Y is for young
Johnny was a young kid when he died. Johnny and ponyboy were the youngest in the group. Johnny tells ponyboy to stay gold because he is young and innocent.
Z is for zone
When the greasers and socs were in the rumble there were in the fighting zone. Ponyboy is in a zone when he is sleeping for along time.
