• the Panathenaic stadium was completed in 566 BC
• its capacity was 50,000 in 144 BC, 80,000 in 1896 and currently 45,000
• I went there lol
• It's in Athens, Greece and is a 45 minutes drive from the city centre
• the coordinates for you nerds out there is 37° 58′ 6″ N, 23° 44′ 28″ E.
• there is a room where every Modern Olympic torch is held

why was it built?

• it was built to hold the Panathenaic games that include: boxing each other to death, hunting, discus throwing and much more.
• it was reused for the first modern Olympics in 1896 by Evengolos Zappa and King Otto of Greece

THE STADIUM

THE STADIUM COMPOSES OF:

• A running track
• A field in the middle
• Seating (obviously)
• A victor’s tunnel
• The player/participants entering area
• State of the art waterfall shower
• Modern cinema
• Torch Tunnel (that holds every torch ever made for the olympics, my fav was the Vancouver one,look how nice it looks)
• Modern bathroom
• Gift shop

DID YOU KNOW(WHICH YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T)

The panathenaic stadium is where the first torch starts, and the last torch ends. Each Olympic torch is lit there from the unquenchable flame in the capitol, delivered to the Stadium, then some ritual starts and lasts for about 2 hours and then the marathon starts again

The panathenaic also held the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Hosting 4 events in the stadium

The name changed to Panathenaic because of dem pesky Romans. (Like how our counties are translated to English) e.g. An Mhi-Meath the Panathenaea was “Romanfied” to Panathenaic.

• 27 people and 1 billion animals have died.
• And plus, Pewds uses Ecosia, so why shouldn’t you?
• We can’t let a beautiful country burn. No politician is doing anything about it so it’s up to our civilians
• A literal firewall is sweeping through parts of Australia and already 5 safe zones got destroyed. Sydney is overcrowding since it’s the safest safe zone, Marty’s village in Darwin is literally deserted and Cap has no where to go since he lives in the middle of nowhere.
• How would you like it if Ireland Caught on fire and Leo Varadkar turned a blind eye?
