THE PARABLE OF THE TWO SONS

THE SUMMARY

• A father had two sons
• He asked the first one to go work in the vineyard
• The son said no, but later changed his mind and went
• He asked the second one to go work in the vineyard
• The son said okay, but he did not go.

THE SUMMARY(CONTINUED)

• Jesus asked the crowd, "Which has done God's will?"
• Then he said that the bad people would enter Heaven before anyone else
• Why? Because they have listened to the word of God and nobody else did.
• So the crowd answered the first son would enter first
• Amen, when the bad people go to heaven, it is because they have changed their ways

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

• Jesus is telling us that you must change your ways
• For example, the first son basically says no to God but does it anyway
• The second says yes but does not do it
• So, your actions speak louder than words
• The verbal commitment means nothing if you dont follow through

HOW IT RELATES TO US TODAY

• We are all born followers of Jesus
• However, we cant just say we're followers, we must live out the faith
