Learning Profiles

  • The more we know about our students, the more we can be effectively strategic in meeting everyone's needs.
  • We can get to know our students through Learning Profile Cards, Student Profile Surveys, and Student Learning Perceptual Quick Surveys.
  • Understanding how students learn best enables teachers to differentiate instruction effectively.

Differentiated Instruction

  • Is based on the idea that students differ significantly in their strengths, interests, learning styles, and readiness to learn.
  • Therefore, it is necessary to adapt instruction to suit these differing characteristics.
  • The content, the process, the product, and the environment of learning can all be differentiated.

Benefits of Learning Profiles

  • Overall, it promotes a more holistic view of student.
  • It focuses on student’s strengths which grow overtime and can be used to improve learning.
  • Learning Profiles, in turn, encourages confidence and self-actualization among students.
