PRESENTATION OUTLINE
After the Seven Years War king George iii had to find a way to make sure the settlers and natives didn't kill each other. In 1763 he issued the proclamation line.
He decided to make
a figurative line
down the
Appalachian mountains
to separate them.
The natives would
stay on the west
of the line and the settlers would
stay east of it.
The settlers didn't
really care for
the proclamation.
They decided
they would live
in the land
they won in the
seven years war
and crossed the
mountains anyway.
