In 1754 the British, French, and Native Americans fought for the Ohio valley. The British won.

The king of England, King George, wrote a proclamation saying the colonist couldn't cross the Appalachian Mt.

Colonist thought it was stupid, because they just had a war for that area. So they crossed.
