How did reformation begin?
Reformation began in the 1500's
The renaissance caused more people to think and start to suspect the church
Martin Luther started the reformation by changing the only catholic church
Martin Luther had some really good reasons for starting the reformation
These reasons will be explained further on in the presentation.

Origins of the Lutherism church
Martin Luther made another church
The Reason for that was because they didn't do their job right
So he decided to create a new church were people could learn with no fee
They wouldn't have to pay for savior or anything
Also so that they could hear the bible straight forward interpreted by him

Pope was more involved in politics instead of church
Clergy didn't know what they were teaching
Clergy didn't behave in a religious matter
You had to buy your way into heaven

Believed in justification by faith
You can get into heaven if you just have faith & the bible
They believed you could not earn salvation, it was a gift
They do good things because god commands
Not because you earned salvation

Rejected traditional sources of religious authority
Believed that the bible was the only source of religious guidance
Bible was the only way to learn to live a good life

Rituals and worship
Combined catholic practices with new lutherism practice
Met in church buildings that used to be Catholic
Used altars,candles, and crucifix which represented jesus
Shared bread and wine and sing hymns
Prayers were written and spoken in latin and had baptisms and communions

Community life
Luther gave his followers certain rules for how to live
He focused a lot on discipline and strong families
Told fathers to teach their child to pray before meals and before bed
Unless they prey they cant eat or drink
Also said that women should give birth to many chilfren
