Plot
Kahaakea had twins, Kauawaahila and Kauakiowao. Their monger died so their father took a second wife who was terrible to the children when Kahaakea left. The twins ran away and grew a thriving community with water that had never been there before. When Kahaakea came back, he killed his second wife and himself.

  • Even bad situations can have great results

CHARACTERS

  • Kahaakea- father who will do anything for his children
  • Stepmother- jealous of the twins and a child abuser
  • Kauawaahila- risk taker and will do whatever it takes to make his sister happy
  • Kauakiowao- complainer

PLOT STUCTURE

  • A father has twins and marries another woman, who then get jealous of the kids and abuses them
  • The kids run away from he stepmother and move around to different areas avoiding her
  • The boy built a pond for his sister and build a community around it
  • The father found out all the stepmother had done and killed her and himself

All in all, this piece of folk lore was very interesting because it showed that a beyond terrible situation can benefit others in a positive way
