The Rashi Purim Tamchui Project

The school-wide social justice project spans three weeks.

Since its inception in 1995, the Rashi Purim Tamchui Project has benefitted more than 85 organizations whose missions support children and families in need across the globe, with over $136,000

Every cent was allocated according to our students' informed decisions.

The Project's 3 Goals

  • Creating educated, compassionate philanthropists.
  • Empowering students to make a difference.
  • Inspiring students to envision how they can make the world a better place.

Goal 1: Education Weeks

Creating educated, compassionate philanthropists

Students learn about five charitable organizations.

And on the last day of our Education Weeks, students get to meet representatives from each one.

Goal 2: Allocation Week

Empowering students to make a difference

Students allocate one portion of the Rashi Purim Tamchui Fund each day to the organization of their choice.

Goal 3: Lessons for a Lifetime

Inspiring students to envision how they can make the world a better place

Rashi students make social justice a priority in their lives for years to come.
