THE RED SPIKE HEAD

It's environment is in the deepest parts of the ocean. It is dark and not many fish live there. The temperature is from -1°C to about +4°C.

ADAPTATIONS

• Has gills to be able to breathe under water
• Has really long and sharp teeth to rip off pieces of meat of its food
• Has special eyes that allow it to see in the dark
• Adapted to eating mostly dead things
• Has scales to protect its body from bacteria and fungi

WAYS IT GOES UNDETECTED

• When there is no red light under water, a red fish can't be seen
• Is slim which makes it fast to help it swim away when it detects danger
• Lives in deep water where not many creatures live in

Our creature needs to get used to eating not that many fish so as to not starve because there is nothing else.

Our creature needs special eyesight to be able to see in the darkness of the year water.
