He was head of the Medici
Family who ruled Florence ,He was a wealthy patron and business man who sponsored the arts

Lorenzo The Magnificent
He was the grandson of Cosimo De Medici he took over from his Grandfather
At age 20

After Lorenzo died the king of France invaded Italy and the city of Florence reducing its wealth and power
